Series 600 leads the trend for wall-hung and back-to-wall sanitaryware

With the rise in popularity of cloakrooms and en suites, and the fact that the British ‘family’ bathroom is famous for its diminutive proportions, we’ve seen an explosion in the market for compact and reduced-projection sanitary ware. As a result manufacturers have been forced to give this sector a complete overhaul in terms of product choice and design.
Back-to-wall and wall-hung sanitary ware are key tools for the designer creating a bathroom with clean lines and an uncluttered look. All unsightly pipework is concealed, giving centre stage to the basin, WC or bidet.
RAK’s Series 600 offers a huge choice of styles and sizes and its WC pan, available in a back-to-wall version, has a projection of just 600mm! Our Compact range includes a variety of back-to-wall and wall-hung options and has been designed to be completely inclusive, with several products aimed at elderly customers or those with special needs, including two models of rimless WCs.
Customers are also catching on to the space-saving benefits of wall-hung sanitary ware, which keeps the floor clear from obstruction – the interior designer’s top tip for creating the illusion of more space. Wall-hung and back-to-wall sanitary ware scores extremely highly on the hygiene stakes and is the perfect choice for wet rooms, where hygiene of the whole space is of increased importance.
In terms of colour, white still reigns supreme but we have had a lot of interest in our dramatic black sanitary ware, available in our Zen range with wall-hung and back-to-wall hung options for the WC and bidet. Black ceramic makes an incredibly bold design statement and injects 5-star luxury into the bathroom.
