WRAS: Water Regulations Advisory Scheme
All RAK sanitaryware products are tested and approved by The Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) is the UK Water Industry’s approval scheme. Products approved under the scheme have been shown to comply with the requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 and amendments.
Products granted WRAS Approved Product status have been assessed and approved by representatives of the UK Water Suppliers themselves – the same authorities which have the legal duty to enforce the regulations and make day-to-day decisions about the acceptability of fittings.
The mechanical properties of products are tested to a variety of European and British Standards and to Regulator’s Specifications depending on the product type.
Product Standards
Quality Standard ISO 9001:2000
RAK Ceramics have been assessed by Bureau Veritas Certification UK and have been granted approval under the terms of the scheme for Supplier Quality Management Scheme to ISO 9001: 2000. The approval relates to design, development, production and supply of ceramics and porcelain floor and wall tiles, porcelain slabs and vitreous china and fireclay sanitary ware including acrylic bath and shower bases and ABS Resin toilet seats and covers.

We have enhanced our overall offering by teaming up with quality industry names such as Kludi, to offer stunning brassware ranges to complement our sanitary ware collections, and Geberit, using their high quality engineering, will supply our water inlet valves and flushing mechanisms for WC’s.
Sanitary ware
A broad selection of bathroom suites, colours and designs, individual products such as wash basins, toilet units, bidets and bathtubs, fireclay or kitchen sinks – our range of sanitary ware can suit whatever requirements you may have, both in the private domain and for public office buildings, hotels, restaurants, industrial facilities or any other building complexes.
All our sanitary ware is made to the highest standards – not only in its high lustre glazed finish, but also its design and efficient operation. Rigorous WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) standards and WC water testing before dispatch are just two of our minimum performance standards. Water fittings are produced with our German partners is our dedicated factory and have to meet the demanding European EN standards.
Baths
Our baths are created from a UK produced triple re-inforced 5mm acrylic sheet known as Easyflow, giving extra depth and an excellent finish to HTM64 standard.
Tiles
The main technical characteristics of ceramic and porcelain tiles are classified by international standards. For ceramic tiles the recognized European standard is BS EN 14411 which encompasses the BS EN ISO 10545 tile test methods.
Within EN 14411 ceramic tiles are classified into various groups to reflect the range of production processes and product characteristics.
